Comments regarding educational/career goals – Greetings,
hope you are doing well. I really enjoyed reading your career goals, being a
data, ML, or software engineer are all great options. There is a great demand
for all of them, especially if one masters it, then we can have a great career!
I myself also want to dive into Software engineering, but machine learning engineer
also sounds very appealing since its in the realm of AI and Language learning
models, I’ll do some more discovery into this field.
Regarding your educational goals, becoming a TA or obtaining
an internship is a great idea. Teaching others is a great way to master a
respective technology. I encourage you to do a capstone that you truly enjoy,
it will make the experience way better. Good luck on your future endeavors! 😊

Greeting Noah,
Hope you are having a great day. Video game development is
such a great field to work in, it can be challenging but enjoyable at the same
time, which for me; this makes me interested in that certain career. That is an
amazing goal to finish one video game by the end of the CS program, I believe
you can do it. As long as you slowly chip away at it, you will accomplish it.
Your career goals are very inspiring, let us know once your
game is done or if you need some testers, I’ll be glad to check it out. Good
luck on your future endeavors, finalizing your video game idea will definitely open
the doors of obtaining a job at a reputable/independent vide game studio.
Part Two: Possible Capstone Ideas (30 minutes)
After viewing at least 3 presentations of Capstone, list
three possible capstone projects you might choose to do at the end of your
study. These sample project ideas which you may or may not pursue.
Capstone
Ideas
1.
Creating a mobile based application to
communicate with a car and log maintenance
2.
Create an application that gathers surveys data then
presents that data in a power point GUI style.
3.
Create an application that you can buy gift
cards in 3rd person and send them to whom you prefer.
Part Three: Keep Up With Your Learning Journal (30
minutes)
This week I absorbed great knowledge such as how to utilize
AI in writing, one can ask AI a specific question, but there can be a better method
of asking that certain question that will answer it in a more accurate manner.
I also learning about the five different types of claims,
such as facts, cause definitions, values and policies. They can be easily confused
with others, so the best way for me to really understand them is by reading the
examples. I am also interested in the graduate programs, but later down the road
in 5-10 years once I get a house, have kids and they grow so they are not so
time consuming. I am not currently thinking of an internship program since I
already have a full-time job, but if I didn’t this would definitely be a great opportunity
to showcase my skills.
Gaining knowledge in ethical dilemmas provided a better
understanding that one should always weigh the odds from both outcomes, and
decide on the course that hurts us the least. Regarding “claims”, I learned the
5 different claims such as fact, cause, definitions, policies, and values. The
claims can all be defended in college level writing by arguing them in a very
specific manner.
Learning that the use of AI can be positive in our
educational journey is an eye opener, I am glad to see that there is research
performed on the benefits that GenAI has such as giving us ideas to base our writing
from, also for research and reviewing our own writings.
